This site is about promoting the benefits and opportunites for teacher's from TAFE NSW to utilise open content licences, in particular the creative commons licences for educational purposes.

Note: This is a trial for developing a proof of concept model for an open Mediawiki.

How to use open content

Openwiki provides training in how to utilise open content that is used by creators to mark work, so others can share, remix, use commercially, or any combination thereof, this is known as open content licencing.

Openwiki uses the software 'Mediawiki' as do many other open content projects.

Resource wiki (Sister project)

The resource wiki is a sister project of this openwiki. The purpose of the resourcewiki is to provide a tool for teachers and staff to collaborate on learning resource development which utilises Neals copyright licencing.It enables the linking together of objects from the Learning Reference Repository (LRR), and other DET repositories.

The openwiki project shows teachers how to utilise open Wikimedia resources. Wikimedia is a non-profit foundation dedicated to bringing free content to the world, the most well know being the online encyclopedia, Wikipedia
